Greater Seattle
Whole-home carbon filtration and softening, plus reverse osmosis drinking water, installed for you. No oversized equipment, no five-figure quote, no pressure. Just honest pricing.
Most water problems in Greater Seattle come down to one of these three. Each one is treated differently, which is why the assessment comes first.
Seattle Public Utilities treats its Cedar and Tolt river water with free chlorine, and its 2025 annual average residual was 1.0 ppm. It does its job on the way through the pipes, and it is also the taste and smell many people notice in a glass from the kitchen tap.
Seattle's water is soft: a February 2026 utility sample put Cedar water at 1.54 grains per gallon and Tolt water at 1.36. On water like that, the carbon stage does most of the work, on chlorine taste and smell. The softener earns its place on the groundwater several cities here run on: Redmond's city wells run about 6 grains per gallon, and Lakehaven's wells serving Federal Way averaged about 5.5 grains per gallon (94 mg/L) in 2025.
Not every city here drinks mountain water. Renton, Auburn and Lakewood run mostly on their own wells, and Redmond, Kent, Federal Way and Tacoma blend groundwater with river supply. Two homes a few miles apart can be on very different water, so we start from your address.
Chlorine, chloramine and PFAS
You can usually taste it.
Most people cannot.
Nobody can.
Which is why the assessment starts with what your utility publishes about Greater Seattle water, not a guess.

We make the process easy from start to finish. First, we review your water concerns, then recommend the right solution, and finally install your system with care so you can enjoy better water with confidence.
We discuss your home's water source, concerns, and goals to better understand what type of filtration or treatment solution may be right for you.
We explain your options clearly, answer your questions, and recommend a system based on your water needs, home setup, and budget.
Once you choose the right solution, we install your system with care, test performance, and make sure you understand how your new water treatment system works.

About Seattle Water Filtration
Seattle Water Filtration serves Seattle and the greater Puget Sound area, from Kirkland and Redmond down to Federal Way, Tacoma and Lakewood. We look at where your water comes from first, recommend the system that fits your home, and put one price in writing before anything is ordered.

If yours is not here, send it with your assessment request. There is no wrong question about your own water.
We call and go through your water with you. Then you get the system we would put in and the exact price. The assessment is free.
The number we put in writing is the number. If something in your house would change it, you hear about it before any work starts.
Wherever the water enters the house, usually a basement, a utility room or a garage.
Enough floor for the tanks plus room to open the cabinet lid and get to the bypass.
Top up the cabinet when it runs low. That is the whole routine, and the setup notes cover it.
Yes. A private supply changes through the year, so it gets sized differently from a municipal one. We handle both.
Name and number is all the form takes. The rest is a short call.
